It’s the small things #LittleLoves

I stumbled across the #LittleLoves linky over on Twitter and knew I had to join in!

I love the idea of focussing on something positive. Sometimes, the days can drudge on and things can get on top of us. Remembering the positive things from the week really helps to remind us how lucky we actually are!

So, I’m hoping to join in with the Little Loves linky on a weekly basis.

Little Loves – Friday 7th July

This week has been a busy one with working every day and Little Miss’s birthday preparation. I often find that with all the rushing about we don’t get much quality time together as a family – something I’m hoping we can start to change soon!

Friday saw our school summer fair. As we only moved here last August it was our first one at the children’s new school. We didn’t know what to expect. Our last school just used to hold lots of stalls in the school hall during the school day. It was chaotic and impossible to manoeuvre with a pushchair! It was something I’m ashamed to say that I actually dreaded!

This school fair was a whole different affair. The fair was held after school on the field. There were bouncy castles, a Britain’s Got Talent type show, glitter tattoos, nail painting, sponge the teacher and even pimms on sale! It was fab!

For me, the highlight of the whole thing was watching Big Man taking part in pillow wars with his friend. This may not seem like a big deal, but for a child who hates being the centre of attention and doesn’t like to fail in front of anyone, this was pretty special to me. The smile on his face when he was knocked of the pole was awesome. He loved the game and my heart swelled watching him. Wonderful!
